Brace-scorer Sam Cosgrove spoke to iFollow Barnsley in Bolton following an aggregate defeat in the Play-Offs.
The Reds travelled to the Toughsheet Community Stadium knowing that only a victory by a two-goal margin would see the tie taken to extra-time and extend the contest by another 30 minutes in Greater Manchester.
Part of the team tasked with that challenge was Cosgrove, who came into the starting eleven following an impressive cameo appearance from the bench at Oakwell in the first leg.
The striker netted twice with his head to pose a real threat to the Whites' advantage overall, but the brace wasn't quite enough to overcome Wanderers and deny their place at the National Stadium later this month.
Our number nine spoke of his mixed emotions when discussing the affair with iFollow Barnsley:
"It's a tough one to dissect," began the 27-year-old. "It's pretty raw at the moment. I couldn't give you a full analysis. An obvious point is the goals conceded. We scored four goals over the course of the two legs. You'd expect that to be enough, but listen, the fight that we've shown tonight, everyone sticking together through a tough time - it shows what this Club is all about."
